How to control the quality of automobile sheet metal parts?

Sheet metal processing is the key technology that sheet metal technicians need to master, and it is also an important process for the formation of sheet metal products. Automobile sheet metal parts include not only the traditional cutting and blanking, blanking, bending forming and other methods and process parameters, but also various cold stamping die structures and process parameters, various equipment working principles and operation methods, as well as new stamping technology and new process.

The quality of sheet metal processing is not only related to the equipment, but also to the experience of operators and the production of process sequence. The concept of sheet metal processing is very different from that of machining. Machining mainly refers to "drilling, milling, planing, grinding and boring". Generally speaking, the accuracy of machining is much higher than that of sheet metal processing, so the standard of machining cannot be used to require sheet metal processing. At present, the industry's sheet metal processing has special requirements for machining accuracy, which can be processed in a special way, such as mold.

The machining accuracy of sheet metal is closely related to our design. If the machining accuracy is not considered in the design, there will inevitably be interference, difficult assembly and other defects after the product comes back.

The sheet metal processing industry generally has the characteristics of small batch and many varieties, and the quality requirements of customers are different, so the quality of sheet metal processing is difficult to control. In order to control the quality of sheet metal processing products, the following points must be done well.

1. Understand the needs of customers. When coming into contact with new varieties or new orders, we should have a certain understanding of customers' products, as well as customers' requirements for the appearance and size of products and the purpose of products.

2. Understand the requirements of customers' products, select different processes according to customers' products, and explain the precautions in the process drawings: for example, the surface cannot be scratched, etc.

3. The engineering department obtains the drawings and makes the process drawings (expansion drawings). The drawings drawn by the technician shall be checked by another technician. After the inspection, they shall be signed and sent to the workshop.

4. For NC blanking, first of all, check the workpiece (NC punching, laser cutting machine, etc.) blanking, including size, unfolding, etc. in mass production, all the first pieces must pass the inspection before mass production.

5. During bending, the bending direction and bending size shall be confirmed for the first piece, and mass production shall be started after confirmation. When the operator or die of automobile stamping parts is replaced, it shall be re inspected.

6. For finished products, the dimensions of welded products or bent products shall be sampled and inspected according to the requirements of the drawings. During the sampling inspection, each dimension shall be confirmed, and the appearance shall be fully inspected. The unqualified products shall be adjusted in time, inspected again, and the inspection report shall be filled in at the same time.
