Stamping process is one of the processing methods to complete metal plastic forming. Usually, external force is applied to plate, strip, pipe and profile by press and die to produce plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain the workpiece with the required shape and size.

For example, there are various covering parts on the vehicle body, internal support parts and structural reinforcement parts, as well as a large number of automobile parts, such as exhaust elbow and muffler of the engine, hollow camshaft, oil pan, engine support, frame structural parts, transverse beam, etc. automobile stamping parts are developed in the direction of precision, multi-function, high efficiency, energy saving, safe and clean production through stamping forming technology, and the manufacturing process level and quality of stamping parts, To a large extent, it has a direct impact on the quality of automobile manufacturing.

The adaptability of stamping process is whether the designed stamping parts meet the process requirements of stamping processing in terms of size, dimensional accuracy and benchmark, structure and shape, etc. Automotive stamping parts should have good handicrafts and economy. The important indicators to measure their level include the number of processes of stamping parts, the number and size of blocks of body assembly, the structure of stamping parts and so on.

Reducing the number of processes in the stamping process means reducing the number of stamping parts, saving the number of tooling, simplifying the conveyor of the stamping process, and reducing the operator and stamping floor area. It is an excellent measure to save investment and energy consumption. In addition, the high-strength steel plate and galvanized steel plate of coil and thin shell integral body structure are widely used in modern automobile manufacturing, which require the application of new stamping technology.


Automobile stamping parts


In the stamping of auto parts, the factors affecting the stamping and drawing yield are roughly the accuracy of stamping equipment, the rationality of die design, the quality of stamping die, the performance of stamping oil, etc. How to select stamping oil is also an important topic of stamping technology:

(1) Silicon steel plate: silicon steel plate is a relatively easy material for punching. Generally, in order to make the finished workpiece easy to clean, low viscosity punching oil will be selected on the premise of preventing punching burrs. In addition, the anti rust and anti-corrosion properties of stamping oil used for processing silicon steel plate of auto parts should meet certain requirements, which can avoid rust of workpiece, protect operating environment, produce irritant gas and other problems.

(2) Carbon steel plate: when selecting stamping oil for carbon steel plate stamping, we should first pay attention to the viscosity of drawing oil. The better viscosity is determined according to the difficulty of processing, the method of feeding drawing oil and degreasing conditions. Secondly, consideration must be given to the oiliness that makes the forming easy, the extreme pressure to prevent seizure, rust prevention, degreasing and no toxic gas during welding.

(3) Galvanized steel plate: galvanized steel plate is a welded steel plate with hot-dip or electro galvanized coating on the surface. Because it will have chemical reaction with chlorine additives, attention should be paid to the possibility of white rust of chlorine type stamping oil when selecting stamping oil, and the use of Yida Borun sulfur type stamping oil can avoid rust, but it should be degreased as soon as possible after stamping processing.

(4) Copper and aluminum alloy plate: because copper and aluminum have good ductility, when selecting stamping oil, you can choose stamping oil with oily agent and good sliding performance, and avoid adding stamping oil containing chlorine, otherwise the stamping oil will corrode copper and aluminum alloy and blacken its surface.

(5) Stainless steel: stainless steel is easy to produce work hardening material. It is required to use tensile oil with high oil film strength and good sintering resistance. Generally, stamping oil containing sulfur and chlorine compound additives is used to ensure extreme pressure machining performance and avoid problems such as burr and fracture of workpieces.
