Stamping part is a kind of production technology which can directly deform the sheet metal in the die with the help of the power of conventional or special stamping equipment, so as to obtain certain shape, size and performance of product parts. Sheet metal, die and equipment are the three elements of stamping. Stamping is a method of metal cold deformation. Therefore, it is called cold stamping or sheet metal stamping, or stamping for short. The bucket strength of automobile stamping parts, castings and forgings is thin, uniform, light and strong. The workpiece with reinforcing rib, rib, curl or flanging, which is difficult to be made by stamping, can be made to improve its rigidity. Because of rejecting the rough die, the precision of the workpiece can reach micron level, and the precision is high, the specification is consistent, and it can punch out the hole, the boss and so on. In practical production, it is often used to test the stamping performance of materials, such as drawing performance test and bulging performance test, which are similar to the stamping process, in order to ensure the quality of finished products and high qualified rate.

Stamping parts are mainly formed by stamping metal or non-metal plates with the help of the pressure of the press through the stamping die. It mainly has the following characteristics:

(2) stamping parts have high dimensional accuracy, uniform size with the module, and good interchangeability. No further machining is needed to meet the general assembly and use requirements.

(3) in the stamping process, because the surface of the material is not damaged, the stamping parts have good surface quality and smooth appearance, which provides convenient conditions for surface painting, electroplating, phosphating and other surface treatment.
